The village
Aldborough is a vibrant village with a thriving community. For cricket enthusiasts it is played regularly throughout the season, and it’s easy to while away a Saturday afternoon sitting watching the match unfold from the comfort of the front garden.
There is a bus service that stops almost outside the house and heads to the coast and North Walsham – here is the timetable https://sanderscoaches.com/timetables?query=aldborough
The village shop and post office is the best shop we have ever come across, you can get everything you need for day to day life, from cards and stationary, to bread, meat, cheese, fresh vegetables, fire wood, newspapers, alcohol, cat food, reading glasses and even a dry cleaning service! The shop is open Monday to Saturday, 8:30am to 6pm and 9:30am to 11:30am on Sundays.
There is a garage, a furniture shop which is open on Saturday afternoons, a doctor’s surgery, a school, The Cut Hut hairdressers, a playground and The Black Boys pub which is three doors up from the house and serves food on a daily basis.
